Established in the year 2000, Yuri’s Martial Arts Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia, has been around for more than 2 decades. The academy offers classes in numerous martial arts forms for all belt levels and has produced numerous martial artists.
Yuri’s Martial Arts Academy focuses on three major goals;
1- Help Students Achieve Self-Protection.
Our focus is on equipping our students with the skills and knowledge to handle real-life self-defense situations. We make adjustments for those who want to enter competitions, but our focus is always on self-protection.
2- Help Students Solve Progressive Pressure.
We understand that real attackers will give 100% resistance in a self-defense situation. That’s why we use performance drills and training methods to help you achieve a high level of proficiency in dealing with real attackers in a safe, friendly, and fun environment. We help you solve progressive pressure and equip you with the tools to handle any situation that may arise.
3- Empower Students Physically, Mentally, and Emotionally for Street Self-Protection.
Our goal is to help you improve in multiple areas of your life using martial arts training. We provide fun and safe sessions to ensure that you always look forward to training. We cover various aspects of self-protection, including striking, grappling, and weaponry scenarios.
Coach Yuri Amadin
Our coach, Yuri Amadin, has decades of experience in training and helping people become proficient in self-protection and fighting. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu under Prof Chris Haueter, with over two decades of training and teaching experience. Coach Yuri was also one of the Indonesian National Team Coaches for the 2018 Asian Games.
In addition, Yuri achieved instructor level in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do Concepts, making him proficient in fighting in all ranges of self-defense, including empty hands and weaponry. He also has over 10 years of experience in practicing and training in boxing and MMA.
